This privacy policy applies to all Company activities, including, but not limited to our brands' websites, and all other websites, mobile sites, services, applications, platforms and tools where this Privacy Policy appears or is linked (collectively, our “Website”) and governs your use of the Pathbird software service (“Service”) that was created by The University of Michigan. The Service includes a self-guided computational textbook and/or a system for authoring, publishing, and distributing a self-guided computational textbooks.
This Privacy Policy is to inform you about how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information. Please take a minute to read this Privacy Policy so that you can better understand our Website and Services information practices. Any reference to our Website includes its e-mail, text, live chat, and other electronic messages. What information do we obtain and how is it used?
User Provided Information
The Website or Service obtains the information you provide when you interact with the Website or users register for the Service. Registration with us is optional. Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Service and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you’d like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided, please contact us at help@pathbird.com and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Service to function properly, and we may be required to retain certain information by law.
California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have certain rights related to the personal information we have collected from you, which may or may not be granted based on the circumstances, but only in compliance with applicable law. - The right to equal service and price by prohibiting discrimination against you because you exercised you rights under the applicable law.

Please include your full name and email address along with why you are writing so that we can process your request in a timely manner. We aim to respond to a consumer request for access or deletion within 30 days of receiving that request. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
Children
Our Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not use the Service to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If you are under 13 do not use our Services or provide any information about yourself including, without limitation, your name, address, email address or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn that we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at help@pathbird.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time. We do not knowingly sell the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
